Zhu Siji
Zhu Siji is a clinician, medical educator, and researcher devoted to advancing female health, with a particular focus on breast cancer care. As the Associate Chief Physician of Surgical Oncology at the Comprehensive Breast Health Center, Shanghai Ruijin Hospital, Zhu specializes in precision breast cancer treatment while actively working to enhance public awareness and access to care. His commitment to the fight against breast cancer spans clinical practice, health policy formulation, and preventive education. With over 1,000 breast cancer patients treated directly, Zhu has extended his impact beyond the clinical setting by spearheading the development of digital health tools, including an online database and a breast cancer patient management system, which are now utilized in more than 41 hospitals across China to improve treatment accessibility and efficiency. Zhu regularly authors articles, produces educational videos, and trains physicians in rural areas to improve breast cancer detection and treatment. Since 2016, Zhu has served as a Senior Trainer at the Shanghai Angelcare Cancer Care Center, a leading voluntary organization supporting breast cancer survivors. Through his engagement with the Equity Community, Zhu aspires to further his understanding of health equity and explore innovative ways to leverage digital health technology to address disparities, particularly in under-served regions.
