Ei Thant Khing
Ei Thant Khing is a humanitarian and passionate advocate for equity, with a strong focus on protecting vulnerable and displaced communities affected by conflict, particularly women and girls. She currently serves as a Humanitarian Policy Manager at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) at the British Embassy Yangon in Myanmar. In this role, she facilitates the effective delivery of lifesaving humanitarian assistance to marginalised populations, addressing the profound challenges faced by communities in crisis. With nearly two decades of experience in the humanitarian sector, Ei Thant has built her career rooted in fairness, transparency and inclusion. Her work highlights the importance of integrating gender-sensitive frameworks into humanitarian responses, advocating for expanded protection services for women and girls who are disproportionately affected by displacement and violence. Ei Thant collaborates closely with international and local partners to ensure that aid reaches those most in need while fostering resilience in affected communities. Through her participation in the Equity Community, Ei Thant seeks to broaden her network, share best practices, and amplify her impact on advancing equity and social justice. She envisions a world where social justice and health equity guide every humanitarian effort, ensuring that no one is left behind, even in the most challenging circumstances.
