Suan Ee Ong

Suan strives to make a positive impact on the lives of others, no matter the magnitude. Trained in public health and the social sciences, she is an independent research consultant who provides qualitative and mixed-methods research, programme evaluation, and academic and policy writing expertise to clients in the health, social, and community development sectors. Her role as a Senior Fellow at the Galen Centre for Health and Social Policy in Kuala Lumpur underscores her dedication to driving meaningful change in health and social policies across Southeast Asia through stakeholder engagement and policy advocacy. Suan also works with undergraduates as an adjunct teaching mentor at Singapore Management University and in her personal time, mentors young Southeast Asian women who seek to make an impact through careers in public health. Suan looks forward to being intellectually challenged, humbled, and refreshed by the diverse experiences in the EI fellowship.
