Online applications will be open from 15 JUNE until 31 August 2024. The selection results will be announced in January 2025. 

Who is eligible to apply? 
The Equity Initiative is seeking exceptional professionals from Southeast Asia and China from any sector (public, non-profit, academia, private, business) who have demonstrated leadership in their field, a commitment to social justice in health, and an interest in lifelong engagement with our equity community in the region and globally.

What are the eligibility requirements? 
Candidates must:

• Have a proven track record of strong leadership potential and a commitment to making a significant impact in their field.  
• Articulate a clear long-term vision for driving systems change to advance social justice in health in their communities or countries. 
• Have a minimum of 6 years of professional experience with significant accomplishments in fields such as health, social innovation, governance and law, environmental justice, or other relevant areas. 
• Be a citizen of one of the Southeast Asian countries or China.
• Be proficient in spoken and written English.

What are the selection criteria?  
The fellowship selection process involves the deliberation of National Committees and a Regional Selection Committee who help us score, rank, and select future Fellows. The selection criteria include the following:

• ​​​​A diverse mix of applicants from a wide range of professional expertise. 
• Achieve a balance cohort of Fellows for optimal multi-national and multi-sectoral peer learning.
• Demonstrated professional capabilities in health, social innovation, governance and law, environmental justice, or related fields.
• Capacity to fully participate in the fellowship activities on specific dates, with the support of their current employer or home institution, if applicable.

Virtual Interviews: October-November 2024
Final Selection: December 2024
Finalists Notified: January 2025
9^th Cohort of Fellows Announced: February 2025 
First 2025-2026 Fellowship Event Commences: March 2025
