SINEE CHAKTHRANONT
Sinee Chakthranont led Ashoka in Thailand for 20 years developing one of the largest and robust Fellowship programs with over 100 of the organization’s over 3,500 globally- recognized social entrepreneurs. She has contributed significantly to the field of social entrepreneurship in Thailand and throughout Southeast Asia by building cross sector networks. Sinee speaks on social innovations and has been regularly featured by national media as an expert commentator. She has been active in Thailand’s civic movement since the historic protests for democratic reforms in 1970s. She currently serves as Chairperson of the Ashoka: Innovators for the Public (Thailand) Foundation. She serves on the boards of and advises various institutions, including the Thammasat University's Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education and Thammasat Secondary School, the Khon Thai Foundation, the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, the National Innovation Agency, the Thai Volunteer Services Foundation. In addition, she was appointed to the steering committee during the founding of Thai Social Enterprise Office. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Chulalongkorn University and a Master of Education degree in International Development from Boston University.
