Natsy is a Professor of the Department of Women and Development Studies, College of Social Work and Community Development (CSWCD), University of the Philippines Diliman. She was formerly the Director of the UP Center for Women’s and Gender Studies. Natsy holds a BSc (Honors) Economics degree from the University of London, and a BA in Philosophy, an MA in Women and Development, and a Doctorate in Social Development, all from the University of the Philippines Diliman. Her research and public service work are in the areas of gender and development and gender and the economy. Natsy is Treasurer and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Likhaan Center for Women’s Health and Lunas Collective, Chair of Bayi, Inc., and co-Convenor of the Asian Solidarity Economy Council Philippines Network, among others.
