Le Thi Nhat is a project manager for the ICRC MoveAbilityFoundation, an organization that strives to make it easier for people living with disabilities (PWDs) to access qualified rehabilitation services.

Nhat experienced paralysis as a child and she had the opportunity to receive appropriate orthotic care and physical rehabilitation. Those early experiences have made her a passionate advocate for raising awareness of PWDs and the barriers they encounter.

She is working to expand access to prosthetics and orthotics and is currently involving in a policy project to advocate for state health insurance to reimburse the cost of mobility-assisted devices.

Nhat is drawing on her contacts in Viet Nam and outside the country to build a network of physical rehabilitation professionals to exchange ideas on care and policy.
