Rico began his career as a philosophy teacher before transitioning into finance, working at Asia Equity and later J.P. Morgan, and then Cazenove in Hong Kong. In 2003, he returned to the Philippines to co-found Information Gateway, a pioneering mobile content company. Since 2009, he has focused on growing the social enterprise sector, co-founding xchange with his wife in 2011. Rico is a Chartered Financial Analyst, and holds a degree in Philosophy from Ateneo de Manila University. He brings deep experience in investment, mentorship, and scaling impact-driven businesses.
